The Temple of Speed. That’s how many refer to the site of this weekend’s Formula 1 Grand Prix and that can only mean racing at Monza. Aside from its long straights and high top speeds, the other thing Monza is known for, perhaps more than any other circuit, is a crowd with so much passion for their home team, Ferrari, that they have their own name: the Tifosi.
Red Bull arrive in Italy ready to continue their astonishing 2023 season. Look for Max Verstappen to take the win and Sergio Perez in the fight for a podium position. AlphaTauri will likely fall short of points but keep an eye on what newcomer stand-in Liam Lawson can do.
Elsewhere on the grid, look for this to be a general ranking of team performance coming into the race weekend:
1. Red Bull
2. Aston Martin
3. Mercedes
4. Ferrari
5. McLaren
6. Alpine
7. Williams
8. AlphaTauri
9. Haas
10. Alfa Romeo
