It was great seeing Real Time racing back.
The race was a bunch of yellows, really too many cars for once race and with the yellows they were bunched for too long, hence more crashes and more yellows.
The TLXs did look good. Coming off the hairpin they seemed glued to the road and putting down the power. The motor sounded quite good too, not very loud but with a nice snarl.
The race however was a bunch of SNAFUs by the organizers: only one tow truck, only one safety vehicle… the way LB is set up, for this race you need two crews, and station one by the hairpin because that's 80% of your FULL FIELD traffic jams… this is where Cunningham lost bodywork.
And, please, tell the tow truck driver that a car with a two foot front overhang and one inch clearance just is not going to make it onto a flat bed tow truck.. and that watching a single guy hold up the race for five minutes just won't cut it… next time put four guys on the tow truck and let them pull the car 100 yards to the safety of the pits.
Jeez.
I think a CTR would be outstanding at LB. Small enough to really pull through those turns.
