Maybe I'm wrong but didn't they have more or less the same problem with the ARX-02a? Wirth designed the car on computer, but didn't get enough track time to really shake out the design and validate the basic concept? While certainly amazing things can be done in simulations these days, it really comes down to track testing to validate your model.
It also seems like Wirth does much better when they start from a chassis like he did with the ARX-01. I don't know if its because it allows more testing, or if he has some chassis design weakness, and should really stick to are only.
