Known for outright speed on its long straights, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, host of the Canadian Grand Prix, may be tough on the McLaren Honda team who have yet to extract full power from their power unit this season. However, having just scored their first points in Monaco and electing to spend 2 development tokens on a performance upgrade which will debut this weekend continued progress is a realistic possibility. Perhaps another points finish?
Elsewhere on the grid look for a typical high-level performance from the Mercedes cars and drivers.
